Isn't Fab 12 in Ocotillo ? Will Fab 22 be located near Fab 12 - or in Chandler?

Same thing.

Fab 22 will be constructed at the Ocotillo site. The way I understand it, the fab will initially come up on P860, I'm assuming at less than 100% capacity, and be incrementally fitted for 300mm going forward.

Paul, re:Fab 22

This fab will be located on the same campus as F12 (Ocotillo). The reason for the confusion is that Ocotillo campus is located in the city of Chandler (not to be confused with the "Chandler" campus (where F6 is located).

Based on the info in the article, I would expect to see the same kind of expedite on F22 as you saw in Albuquerque, based on the fact that they want to be up and running next year. Intel has rewritten the book several times on wafer fab construction. It has been one of many areas where Intel has employed breakthrough methods to create a whole new approach to the task.
