dav, Hi!! RE: I sense that DELL will make a major aquisition in the near future to diverse into other growth areas besides PC, storage is one area, internet.. ? The PC growth alone doesn't seem to be gaining the attention it once did...too bad because the future is brighter than ever...The CPQ news is good news for DELL...INTC announcing Monday is another indication that the January start for 2000 is robust...The predictions of DELL management telling us that a low estimate for units by 2004 of 47 million has me ecstatic... As for the possible "inheritance" of some other corporation I can only wait for what DELL management has planned...I do believe that the CONVERGENET acquisition was huge...Tom Meredith told everyone at the Conference Call that "nobody has anything nearly like it"...Being able to hook into existing systems without much difficulty gives DELL an incredible financial leverage....Once again their choice out of the 31 companies that they reviewed before making this deal shows the efficiency and careful planning of DELL...
