<<<Buy the Rumor Sell the news. That seems to be the way of tech's lately.>>
For the past year when a tech stock reports earnings it goes down
unless major news. When Greenspan speaks, the market goes down.
Aol went down, Yhoo went down, now Qcom and NT go down.
So why do I hold Jdsu today?. Its the taxes to pay that Rocketman just mentioned and of course its a good stock with as much hope as Qcom had Monday.
Failing to take profits because of taxes is really hurting my
potential profits. I feel the need for a different attitude there and
have done a bit better over the years.
I can do it OK on small gains but when one has huge profits its still too hard to decide to sell.
I believe somewhat in luck, in that I was forced to convert
maturing Jan Qcom calls into stock and have no calls left.
Just the Leaps.
I have quite a few leaps in different stocks and the more I have
the better I can handle the daily or weekly ups and downs we are getting.
Thats especially true on Dell, Intc, NT, and now on Qcom.
