Comparing XTO to FLC is difficult. They are fundamentally different. XTO is a producer and their profits are tied to the price of oil and NG. FLC is an offshore driller. Their future is tied to the level of offshore drilling around the world.

Long term you'll win with both. FLC has a lot of stacked rigs right now, so I am avoiding them. I like XTO and the other domestic EnP's because they are profitting (BIG TIME) right now from high prices.

Which you would want should be based on what you think could reasonably happen this year. Will prices stay here? Will drilling increase dramatically? Your guess is as good as anyone elses.

Good luck!
