This looks pretty good to me - I think the idea of a Canadian site that caters to the Canadian investment market is very timely. A couple of good URL's like investment.ca and rrsp.ca make finding the site a snap. From what I understand -they have the business plan finished and are starting to set up the site. Maybe this means I can stop getting all the RRSP junk mail from Canada Post. <VBG> Montello subsidiary acquires domain name rrsp.ca Montello Resources Ltd MEO Shares issued 38,674,936 Jan 25 close $0.23 Wed 26 Jan 2000 News Release Mr. Patrick Power reports Canadian investment.ca Online Inc., of which Montello holds a 70-per-cent interest, has through a wholly owned subsidiary, acquired the rights, title, and interest in and to the domain name rrsp.ca. (Canadian investment.ca Online Inc. holds the rights, title and interest in and to the domain name: investment.ca.) investment.ca will develop the rrsp.ca Web site to provide Canadians with the on-line gateway to the Canadian mutual fund/RRSP industry where Canadians annually contribute billions of dollars to their mutual fund/RRSP accounts. According to the Investment Funds Institute of Canada, the member association of Canadian funds, an average of $46.9-billion, has been contributed annually over the past three years. Users of the rrsp.ca Web site will be provided with a comprehensive, free-to-view, array of mutual fund/RRSP information, education and user transaction opportunities. The Web site will generate revenue from both corporate sponsorship ads and user transaction fees. According to Statistics Canada, there are approximately 7.5 million Canadians placing a portion of their savings into mutual funds/RRSPs annually which are held in 45.8 million unitholder accounts. The rrsp.ca Web site will significantly strengthen investment.ca's ability to fulfill its mission of becoming Canada's only investment portal: the on-line gateway to the world investing in Canada. A finder's fee will be paid for this transaction. (c) Copyright 2000 Canjex Publishing Ltd. canada-stockwatch.com
