Wake up and smell the coffee. Shorts provide liquidity and equilibrium which helps to prevent morons like you from climbing over each other to chase a stock to nose bleed levels. They also take long positions.

mochool - It's unfortunate you're losing money on this stock. Hopefully it will return to the higher levels from which you bought it. None the less, your comments and activities on the board further reiterate what I posted a day or two ago which listed 2 recent observations that suggest EDIG was overbought.

As a neutral observer of this board who has been following it since near the beginning, I must say that the recent dialog on this board is saddening. Has any of the long time posters who posted recently went back and read what they wrote?

The longs have raised the credibility of the shorts. Certainly a few of the shorts have been rude, impolite, and said little to nothing. Others have given substance of which no longs have really responded. Yet, the longs' childish responses to many of the shorts antics suggest that the longs are not as confident or relaxed as they purport to be. Furthermore, it appears that some of longs, which at one time I viewed as honest people, have posted what is obviously hyped and misleading information (hype is nothing new, but outright misleading information is another). It reiterates what I've known for some time, that many are EDIG "cultists."

While some may ballyhoo around the "fight fire with fire," I believe it makes EDIG look like any other scam stock that has shareholders who have too insecure an interest to be honest and avoid the new-found BS brought on by the shorts. It suggests that the shorts are correct.

I suggest that the long time followers of this board take a step back and look at what they already have. All of us long term holders have already made tons of money. Do we need to lower ourselves to try and preserve a few bucks (especially considering that this board likely isn't going to impact the movement of the stock)? Refute any false information shorts may submit. Refute any analysis a skeptic may present. But to react in the manner that many have here makes the longs look unreliable and amateurish (ripe for the scamming). If I were to stumble upon this board over the last few days, I'd look at the sentiment on the board and quickly exit it as a useless forum. And, no, the shorts are not solely responsible for this. In fact, the longs have submitted more posts than the shorts. Continue to do as you like. But, continue to act as you have and you are only helping the shorts.

In closing, I find it ironic that some of those who are losing the most paper value during this down turn are those who are the most silent (this....doesn't....apply....to....M...I...R...., no....offense...). This is class. Hopefully, it will return to this board.

Congrats shorts. Congrats longs.

Chris

I say let's unite and prohibit "shorting" in general

Do you realize what an amazingly short sighted statement this is?

Shorting may seem complicated to simple folks like me, but when you boil it down it enables the trader to SELL stock on margin. So in the purest sense anytime you sell stock you are short. Without the opposite side of the coin, you cannot have open free markets. Do you really want that?

Certainly regulations concerning this sort of activity are important, and they exist.

Some of the longs have said it well... The short sellers allow the longs to get the stock at a better price.

You are usually thinking in dangerous territory when you assume that a stocks poor performance is due to short interest and market makers.

The truth is usually much less sinister than that.

regards,
cAPS

That is silly, when a stock begins to tank like this the only thing between you and zero are short sellers, who do you think lines up to buy a tanking stock, more stupid longs? Its the shorts. You really want to see a stock tank, take out the shorts on it. The when the buyers stop coming and you have your shares that you paid 25 for, watch how fast the bid drops to 10. At least with shorting you have a chance to get out at 19, i mean 15, I mean 13.....
