Thanks for posting Voltaire's earlier predictions; in re-reading them I note how prescient they are:
Correction coming, engineered by Houses; yes, constant prattle about bond yields on CNBS, et al., along with focus on higher oil prices which insures runaway inflation; how come there is no inflation in gov't numbers, in spite of this fear-mongering.
Sector Rotation: sure looks like WS wants us to buy all the beaten down cyclical and consumer non durables, even though pricing power is non-existent in these sectors, and anyone who buys this stuff might as well by a bond, or better yet a money market fund, since bonds lost 12% last year.
QCOM didn't make it to predicted $170 target, but came w/in $10 of that mark, pre-EPS.
Get rid of near term options: good idea, I'd say, as anyone with February calls are hurting now.

Oh, one last thing, Ralphie Acompora was on the wires TODAY, saying we could have a correction, and a top is in here.

Seems to me, like last year, everything that is a typically seasonally anticipated event in the markets, came early. That sneak attack this past Monday was set up perfectly, right in the middle of earnings reports that were excellent for most firms. They don't even have the decency to wait to start their engineered declines, rotations, and inflation fear mongering, until the firms can put out thier numbers.

Good luck to all investors.
James

Thanks for posting V's alert from 2 weeks ago. I tried to find it but something interrupted me. I knew he had warned us.

Right Again V, Take care of yourself. I think you have more bad weather on the way this weekend. Stay in bed. Rest. Rest. Rest. Orange Juice, Vit. "C" and Chicken Noodle soup. If you need to break it up in the chest put vicks on chest and then a hot towel on chest.

At least with the cold weather you don't have a crowd on the porch and maybe you can get some rest.

Miss you!
