>>It seems to just keep getting worse.<<

You ain't seen nothing yet!

>>something else comes out and knocks the stock market on its can.<<

Or people are finally starting to realize that INTC business fundamentals are in the garbage can.

>>We can't win and I think that investors are fed up<<

HoHoHo - They all look like trader nation junkies to me. Maybe by saying 'Fed Up' you are thinking of the 'Fed Calls' they will all have soon.

No kidding. In case you haven't seen yet, DELL just warned. "Investors" have discounted this many months ago. Speculators and mo-mo guys are still hanging on to it. Not to mention get-rich-quick scheme dwellers.

Hello Frank. Ditto here with snow and ice.

Yes. Dell put it to us again. Twice in a row now. I guess insiders knew what they were doing when they sold big chunks of stock. I will be thinking this story over also by tomorrow.

Yes. Yaacov is doing great with his trading. He is happy with small point gains in the stocks that he trades. And it's generally good stocks. Yaacov can borrow money for sev. days without paying interest and trading costs are low. I am not sure if very short term trading over there is non taxable. I believe you have to hold it for something like 3 mos. but I am not sure. I have told you many times that I don't see anything wrong with some trading. I just like to hold my long term gains for the long haul. It's getting tougher to do this. I posted on the thread that I went out of CPQ when Pfeiffer got the boot. I am not in yet. Now I have to make a decision on Dell. Sheesh. It already took a bath in instinet before it was halted. Something like 37. Their reason for a shortfall, Y2K etc. sounds a bit lame. But I guess we will hear more.

BTW. Just because I post some links at times, it does not mean that I believe everything it says. Everybody can determine what they want to get out of it.

At times you feel like throwing in the towel but I will try to resist that with my long term gains and cos. I believe will make it into the future. Even a 7% bond does not sound too interesting to me.

Intc is getting hit also. But Intel is not solely a chip company anymore. They are making great headway in the networking arena. Besides, I don't care if they make us money with their investments. Incubator cos. are doing pretty well now. gg.

JDSU and EXDS seem to have done alright. But some of those reports are very confusing. Before the evening is over, we will find out all we care to hear. Ugh. My RNWK came in alright yesterday but I can't make head and tails out of INSP yet. QCOM looks iffy and I have not fig. out CMRC yet. It got an upgrade today. RNWK and RRRR kept me partly out of the dog house today. Good thing. It is freezing. What will happen tomorrow is another story. Globex futures do not look too great at this time.

The market did alright while Greenspan was speaking. Well, let's say close to the end of market hours and then it went on a downhill ride. I didn't hear anything in his speech that should have brought something like that on. I guess we will get an interest rate hike though.

Sonny

Hi Frank, i m not completely out of the market. Yaacov, Maybe I should move to where ever Yacov lives. which country is that?
I felt something beyond unusual was happening w. dell yesterday.
I quickly chked dell thread and found nothing.

I m still holding on to bag of dell/wintelco and sunw etc...
I have bot very long term puts on sunw/csco as these are companies i would hold for long time. I have done some cov. calls to collect premium while market goes down.

I think Naz was moving too fast.. This will be a healthy correction and i will not use my ira account again till we get good dose of correction..

I am not a day trader but i just like to catch a big trend up or down. There is still too much bullishness on some threads.

U know i dont have a job any more so i have to be more conservative.

Frank and QCOM holders. This sounds interesting. Less shipments next qtr, even though it will be temporary and sales will be strong in 2000, and a billion $ purchase.
