I just started reading a book on TA. I'm quoting from Page 94 of Technical Analysis of Financial Markets by Murphy.

Several myths exist concerning the interpretation of gaps. One of the maxims often heard is that "gaps are always filled." This is simply not true. Some should be filled and others shouldn't. We'll also see that gaps have different forcasting implications depending on which types they are and where they occur."

Filling this gap might be a good thing.
