victor, IMHO Short term there will be no joy about Dell missing the quarter. They are the current darling of Wall Street. Hardware stocks will correct and Compaq will be hit along with everyone else. What will count is after the correction. Compaq could become the new darling of Wall Street. Dell's timing does look suspect. Of course, it could have been done last Friday or Monday. That would have been a real killer. We would have never seen 32. NW
