Management stated that some revenue was not recognized in this quarter because of Y2k fears. That revenue will be recognized this Q. I think the earnings show a company that has clearly turned around and is moving forward. I thought the call was really upbeat. All of the participating analysts commented 'great Q guys'. Managment seemed confident and emphasized that carriers are increasingly utilizing the Internet Protocol to transport voice and data. Financial tidbits: 1- Profitable (>>1 year of consecutive profitable quarters) 2- Gross Margins are UP to 58% vs. 53% last Q 3- Cash balance is UP, paying down liabilities 4- R&D spending is UP-(good sign) 5- booking a higher % of revenues from domestic carriers vs. international (domestic carriers tend to pay the bills faster and more reliably than foreign carriers) New customer to be announced--in a few weeks ACEC will be announcing a new customer in the IP-Next Generation Carrier space. In fact, they pointed out that ACEC won out over a competitor because on the N*Vision product ----Also pointed out how ACEC will grow with exisiting clients and their growing networks....Winstar, Logix. Gave an example of how one of their customers in Canada has the contract to put in an all IP network--this is moving voice over Internet Protocol. Implied that ACEC will grow their biz with this installed base. ACEC management: 'The message to investors is that the ACEC technology is being accepted and implemented by Next Generation Carriers. ACEC is a Next Generation Solutions Provider.' I hate to keep sounding like a broken record, but this is an undiscovered gem . In 12-18 months, this is a $50 stock. Leeza Rodriguez
