Ann. Well. I posted to Frank. But I don't think I was able to cheer him up. I am a little disgusted with the Dell warning myself. LU. Yes, I got carried away. gg. I really thought I could pick it up lower after their earnings shortfall. Like I said: You just never know what a stock will do. Just because I sold all my LU does not mean I can't pick it up again. I probably should have done it when it went close to 50. But who knows if the fat lady has sung yet. CSCO and NT seem to be picking up business. I am getting a bit disturbed when my cos. come in THAT short even if it was only the first time. I am glad you told me that your company is going with Dell. I may take this in consideration while I am thinking about it overnight. After I listen to all the schmear I will decide what to do. Maybe I will sell a partial stake and then pick up some lower. After all, the PC market is supposed to be getting better and Dell picked up some on their competitors. I don't know why they are warning so late. Maybe it's not late. I'd better check when they are reporting. WCOM. Like I said yesterday. One fund manager was on then and stated that he has no idea why this company is selling off like that. He called it a very good buy. Well, nothing doing today. Maybe if I sell some Dell, I will pick up some more WCOM. Sheesh, how low can it go. FON just got a tidy sum for selling some of their business overseas. I guess we are moaning and groaning and the markets are really not down that much. Let's hope it stays that way. But even this little downturn hurts. gg. It's not easy to see some of your gains evaporating. About lurkers. No, I have not heard from J.B. All I know is that he should be happy with SAP by now if he stayed the course. I think he was aiming to. Of course AOL has had an up and down ride. I am still holding in there with all my shares. Ugh. Outside my IRA's I have margin accounts. It does not matter which stock I buy or sell. It goes into the margin account. But as I have mentioned sev. times, I did reduce my margin in those accounts. I mentioned that at these higher market levels, I'd better. Makes for a better sleep. I don't like to get margin calls. I haven't got one since 1997 when I lost a nice chunk of my Intel holdings while being on vacation in that Oct. period. I am still fretting about this. You would not think I would do so but how often has Intel split since then? Twice. I don't think it has been a bad investment for anyone unless they bought high and then sold out low. It was around 130 earlier last year and even after this pull back it's still 95 or 190 pre split. Not a bad gain for a company you can sleep better with than some of my internets. And yes. I had reduced my margin some more with LU, especially since I made a cpl not too great investments right after the new year. QCOM, SCOC and CMRC comes to mind. Even some more Yahoo I had bought. Sonny
