i don't play commodities.

If you're referring to the usage of copper in semiconductors, that's not relevant. I have more copper in my house wiring and penny collection than the semiconductor industry will use in a year.

Now if the building codes were revised to require 12 gauge wire in houses, you'd see a spike.

Your other comments about industrial precious metals are right on.
