LongFiber, re:<it isn't Intel>
YOur little stories are supposed to convince us that its a shortage of SDRAM? beta.siliconinvestor.com

The ZDNET article said they ordered a Coppermine 733 workstation with RDRAM and were quoted March delivery. But we're supposed to believe you that you're getting it in five days.

<If I stay with 256 ECC RAM, the orders will not ship for 51 days. If I change to 256 SDRAM, it is cut to 21 days. It is 16 days for 128 ECC RAM.>

Let me clue you in. Systems with 256M or more of ECC RAM are less than 5% of Dell's shipments.

But 100% of DELL's computers ship with an Intel microprocessor. There's the problem. Gateway fixed their problem. I guarantee you, they won't be warning in Q1.
