Tony - RE: "300 million shortfall due to uneven receipt of semiconductor orders. Didn't say what kind of chips, but said they substituted in more expensive chips when they could get them."

Seems like Intel earnings looked good because of the more expensive chips, but Gateway and Dell got the shaft.

Besides If Niles has a source that told him Dell would miss, Niles wouldn't have pounded the table on Intel going to 150, if he knew Dell's shortfall was due to Intel.

Tony: Exactly. So where do we get the idea that demand has been effected. Is INTC going to get punished twice for the same slip up? As for their projections in the 30% area that is just spin and they are trying to lower the expectation bar. JFD
