Bryan, another "think tank" idea.

Most of the savvy SI web surfing folks have come to know and love the google.com search engine. SI should partner with google and then provide a web search engine on the home page. You could move the button links to the left for the SI search engine. Then have a box for google.com to the right.

This would accomplish a couple of improvements to SI.

1. SI members would have a ready reference available when wanting to do a search. (especially helpful for the political threads).

2. SI members would be more inclined to visit the homepage to view articles, ads, news and new features. This would help the community of SI develop a common homepage reference. Future improvements could include such items as customized weather, news on specific industries, as well as video interviews about to be shown live.

3. New SI members, not as web savvy, would discover the google search engine sooner and stop wasting their time looking for information.

I also believe you could strike a deal with the google folks and get paid a small click through rate because of your substantial web presence. This would then add a nice additional revenue source to GNET.

Win-Win for everyone! The SI customers, GNET, SI, stock holders and the google folks.

Michael
