I think the 9/98 2.5 million subscriber number was inflated. It sounds to me like banks like Wells were providing online bill pay as a service to premium customers and the bank was paying the subscriber fee. Why else would so many customers have the service and not be using it? Either that or these people just ignored the monthly fee for a bill pay service that they never used. I hope the 3 million current users are all committed users of the service. At some point, fees per transaction should provide more revenue than does a fixed subscriber fee. Bruce
