S1 management has also resisted temptations to sell out. Rumors were that State Farm wanted to buy a much bigger stake than they did last year. But S1 declined, wanting to make sure that their neutrality was clear to all the financial service companies that use their facilities now and in the future. That says to me that their management and core shareholders are in it for the long haul.

If, as many say, the revolution in Internet financial services is just beginning, a long-range view could be very profitable for today's shareholders. Of which I am one.
