Subject: TransPoint Service Upgrade Announcement-January 2000

Dear Thomas,

We're excited to announce a major upgrade to your TransPoint? Internet
Payment service! This e-mail introduces our great new features and the
benefits they offer. If you would rather not receive announcements such
as this in the future, just click here:
mailto:unsub-tp-news@tp.transpoint.com.

NEW, EXPANDED SERVICE

The TransPoint Internet Payment service now offers two levels of
service to expand your online bill payment options: Standard Service
and Premium Service.

STANDARD SERVICE: With the Standard Service, you can continue to pay
all the bills you currently pay through the TransPoint Internet
Payment service, and add anyone else that you select from our list of
more than 750 of the largest companies in the United States
ebills.transpoint.com.
You can add as many companies from our list as you'd like, at any
time.

PREMIUM SERVICE: With the Premium Service, you can pay anyone on our
list of over 750 companies, PLUS anyone else in the United States--a
company or a person--to whom you would normally write a check. They
don't even need to be on the Internet. Pay any company, pay your
landlord, or send a relative some birthday money. Just add them to
your list of companies and people you want to pay, tell us how much to
pay and when to send it, and we print the checks and mail them for
you.

Customers who registered with the TransPoint Internet Payment service
before this January 23, 2000 upgrade will receive the Standard Service
free; it's our way of thanking you for being an early adopter of the
TransPoint Internet Payment service. Customers who sign up after
January 23, 2000 will pay $2.95/month for the Standard Service after a
free 6-month promotional period. And anyone can upgrade to the Premium
Service for only $5.95/month (for up to 20 payments/month).

For more information on our new service levels, log on to the Web
site. Under the Help topic, click FAQs and then "Standard Service vs.
Premium Service."

A NEW LOOK

The TransPoint Internet Payment service has a new look, as those of
you who have used the service before will notice when you log on. All
of your information about the companies you pay, bills, payments, and
your bank accounts is still there--we've just made it easier to manage.

Once you've logged on, browse around and you'll see how easy we've
made it. The six dark blue tabs across the top of the screen take you
to the main areas of the service:

ú PAYMENT CENTER: Your central location for making payments. (If you
were using the TransPoint Internet Payment service prior to January
23, the Payment Center replaces your "Current Activity" and "Past
Activity" pages.) Make all of your payments, view online bills, make
changes to your scheduled payments, check the status of payments
you've made, and add more companies or people to pay.
ú MESSAGES: Your message center. Here, you can view and file
communications regarding the service.
ú ACCOUNT INFO: Your account maintenance area. Update your TransPoint
Internet Payment service account information, your list of companies
and people you pay, and your bank account information.
ú CONTACT US: Online customer service. Submit inquiries by filling out
and sending online support forms to TransPoint Internet Payment
Customer Support, or to the companies that send you online bills.
ú HELP: Quick answers to your questions.
ú LOGOFF: The Logoff page.

As you'll see when you use the service, we've made it as easy as
possible to pay your bills anytime: just click a name on the list in
your personal Payment Center and complete the payment form.

E-MAIL REMINDERS

We offer you a great new way to keep up with your payments: e-mail
notification. You'll have the option of receiving a weekly e-mail
message summarizing your TransPoint Internet Payment service account
activity, and a separate e-mail message that notifies you each time
you receive a new online bill or message.

If you registered for the service before January 23 and want to use
the e-mail notification feature, just turn it on and confirm your
e-mail address. Under the Account Info tab, click "My TransPoint
Account" and then "E-mail Notification."

NEED HELP OR HAVE QUESTIONS?

If you have questions about our expanded service or how it works,
log onto ebills.transpoint.com and click the Help tab. You'll
find answers to frequently asked questions, additional tips on how to
use the service, and more.

You can contact customer service by clicking the Contact Us tab and
sending us an online support request form. We respond to online
support requests 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can also call
(888) 546-7332 to speak with a customer service representative anytime,
24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
