Rick,

I knew SWIB rang a bell. Another Westy company from years past was ICC Technologies. Its leader was Irvin Gross who, like Fowler was a long time Westy friend. SWIB was a long-time beneficial owner (7% or so). ICGN made a revolutionary kind of air conditioner using a wheel filled with a desiccant material. More than a year back ICGN was involved in a reverse take over of an internet web page designer called Rare Medium. At the time shares sold for $2-$3.

Rare is a screaming success (closed over $43 today). SWIB still holds its shares!!!!

I'm not good enough as a detective or Wendell wannabe to figure out what the Westy connection means, if anything. This example does speak to SWIB's tendency to hold long, however.

Ben

Just listened to the playback on the cc and it sounded pretty good. Good questions from analysts and even some optimism. If they can improve on the margins at all over the next quarter and couple that with some growth in Gross Revenues, we should see improved EPS which would really provide for an impressive statement of operations. Y2K had much to do with lack of growth in revenues in the last quarter and we should see some improvement in this quarter. I wonder if they can turn the announcement of the OEM's and other news they alluded to as quickly as they did the placing of the ASCOM shares. I love it, "we are working hard on it" . . . by the end of the day DONE!!! I realize we have heard about this for a while. Good CC, no more ASCOM, I am very positive that we may soon see a turn for the better. Good luck all and lets get over 10 for good!!
