Sam, Niles will be positive on DELL's outlook. 30%+ growth is the best in the business. He was "highly confident" that a Q4 miss was coming (he shouted it out 5 separate times) and wanted to knock the price down so it made sense to buy. I hate to admit it, but he was right. Stock now down from $54 a few weeks ago to $36 or so. He gets a 50% return just to ride the stock back up to where it was when he starting bashing it, assuming DELL recovers from its supply constraints.

I guess the only thing to do now is brace ourselves for the street's reaction. When we said it would be better to have management give us lower forward guidance, I don't think we meant it, did we????
Dreading Niles, too.
