ed: OTOT JDSU I have been away. Can you cite me good position statements on jdsu. Lee had an article for me, but I don't where fibre fits, in a huge corporation satellite based system. I need to step back a little. Do you know any site where I can play catchup? TIA

ed: re MSD...I feel a need to keep it simple. IMO we have a management which is too busy diversifying (venture capital etc.) in order to secure a "killer" position elsewhere than Dell. Below these higher level persons, there are plenty of persons capable of keeping the business "going", as far as most are concerned. Obviously, plenty of longs, IMO have their head burried in the sand. Keep it simple. If you are 34 years old, and worth 21 Billion, you probably rationalize with a significant part of your brain, that if you take significant diversification steps now (I think MSD has an extra 3 billion per quarter to play with, if I remember correctly), that you are young enough to "make it up to the good ole' Dell shareholders". But if you don't diversify now, you'll miss out on the really hot plays. Persons like Richard Owen may have felt that there will be less game playing like this, if they leave. If so, good for him.
