Levy, I had forgotten that GNET owned metacrawler. I guess it would make more sense to use it, but personally, I don't like it nearly as much as google.

1. It's slower.
2. It doesn't show a hundred links on one page for quick scanning.
3. If as you say it uses google, I find it less effective in locating information. I've never actually tested it though, it's just my gut feel.

It would be interesting to view the metrics behind the SI site, in order to determine which search engine the customers find most useful. My gut tells me, based on hearing so many conversations around SI, that google would be the favorite.

It does lead me to wonder why SI doesn't provide a metacrawler box on the homepage though.
