My Q friends,

First of all, I need to state my original perspective on QCOM,
When I first loaded up on the company after April 1999 cc.
I am in at a $21 average and was projecting an $80 price by 12/2000.
Since then QCOM has gone vertical (on charts), a straight line up.

I listened to cc, and my pleased that the most important thing is the
Next generation of chips, MSM 3100 I believe, is right on schedule.
HDR is right on schedule and carriers are so high on the next generation
of QCOM chips that they want them so much that they are slow to buy todays
QCOM chips. This is good news. Whether earnings are 25 or 27 cents means
little when compared to the impact HDR will have when introduced in 2001.
As long as there are no delays in HDR, and QCOM maintains its
already commanding lead in producing better chips than everyone else.
Then LTBH should be pleased and there was nothing in cc that showed
any cracks in QCOM's ability to produce and deliver, imho

All the best
Michael

Thank-you to all of you who had kind words to say, and the PM's too. I know for many of us, it has been a rough time. Well, I've been away because of personal reasons, and the market in general has been motor oil on the cake. But, just a little numb and greatful.

Greatful that I'm not one of those who are heavily margined, but feel for those who are. (Been there before) Wishing I had some extra cash laying around (ha, ha, ha), not 'iron' enough to margin at this point. Also greatful that my sister in-laws' heart is OK, finally.

Again, thanks, and I will thank those of you via PM when I get my head screwed on straight, and shew the clouds away!

Q rocks, just a matter of time...

Hang in there gang. "Could be worse, could be raining!" "Crack, SShhhhhh!" Young Frankenstein (Or is that Frankensteen?)

Katz, $135 down to $100 is only the same as $13 to $10. It really isn't very much. I know it's easy to be glib like that when I'm not cruising down to a margin call, but presumably you bought it because you think it worth a lot more than that [well, worth more than the derisory 5% interest you can get on term deposit or whatever it is these days over there - no wonder Alan Green$pan wants to put interest rates up].

So, just don't worry about it. Once all the hoopla, panic selling or whatever is done, WWeb sales will come through and Qualcomm will make the profit you expected.

The only problem is to guess whether it's worth buying at what you might guess is the low point. Which is risky, because things can look low, until it goes lower. Jon went shopping at $120, but ooops, now he can do more shopping at $108.

C'est la vie.
