finance.yahoo.com

maybe ebay can buy one of our canuck banks, ho ho...

i checked bmo's all time high, its 80 canadian, and it closed yesterday at 46

guess you can't day trade that sort of thing <g>

a couple years ago up here every j6p in a toque was talking about bank stocks, as they'd gone up 50 % a year for two years in a row...now they talk nortel, bce, jdsu, rim, ballard, microforum, etc. even td which owns most of waterhouse doesn't get the buzz any more...

Mike,

>>She (Abby Cohen) dismissed criticism of the U.S. trade and current account deficits, which she said were
symptoms of problems elsewhere.

``I would hate to see what the world would have looked like had the U.S. not allowed its trade deficit to be so high,' she said during a panel discussion. <<

I thought that was actually a big part of the bearish case. Without the US trade deficit lots of other places would sink into the abyss and we can't sustain it forever. As usual I must be missing something. Probably some "new era" drug. (g)

Mike, I sold my HWP puts yesterday. I didn't get top dollar, and took only a modest profit (less than a double), but I didn't like the price action. I'll wait a bit before I decide whether to reload. Of course, it could break down any time now. But something else will come along.

Just re-bought 1/2 position in djia puts. I'm looking for a ride back down to 10,900, at least.

Just bought some DELL 35 puts also. With all of the upgrades being thrown left and right today (and still is under 40), will they just pound their hands on tables reiterating their buys on earnings day? <g> These analysts are just pathetic!
There are no bulls in this market.....they're either sharks or snakes.
