Luc and all, I have sent the following as a PM to Bryan Burdick and Admin Bob, as well as in email form to Webmaster Jill. No response whatsoever. Note the date... about a week before the Iceshark incident.

Bryan,

I hope that it doesn't sound as if I am carping, but could you please be more specific as to what constitutes "vulgarity" in the Terms of Use? Is vulgarity limited to a certain list of words that are considered offensive, or does vulgarity also encompass other language, such as comments about bodily functions or tasteless jokes, that would be considered "vulgar" in the classic sense of the term? Is it acceptable to blank out parts of words, as in "s**t"? Or is all of this dependent on the context?

I have greatly enjoyed SI over the past 3 years or so, and I understand why these guidelines were established. I'm just interested in a clarification.

Thank you,
Andrew Aiken
