One of the things that puzzles me the most about e.digital is several of these patents you mention seem trivial... In other words there are devices out that do most of this stuff already. For example: Method for recording voice messages on flash memory in a hand held recorder. I can go to Office Depot and see a hole slew of devices that do this. Sony makes them among other big names, and they do most of the stuff mentioned in the patent if not all of it. And I doubt that it is patent infringement as there are several ways to skin the digital cat... I own a Diamond Rio... one of the original ones. It handles file management fine. And before someone pipes in saying: "It doesn't do all the formats" Well no, but their newer model does a little more, and frankly I have never understood why the consumer is gonna really want something other than mp3 in the first place...
