Petz, Re: Conspiracy theory: I am sure they were optimising all along, however there is such a leao between the early beta version and the final release that I suspect a stalking horse was let out of the barn...to be checked by Intel and discounted as a lamer. One fine day this aspect of inductrial strategy will come into the open. If this did happen it certainly worked well. Imagine if Intel had advanced their plans at high speed 6 months earlier? They would have had their stumbles far earlier and would be on more mature ground by now?? Bill Bill
