>>Allen I am sick and tired of people living in dream la la land. Too many make the mistake of throwing up long term charts. It just ain't happening anymore for Dell. I have been patient too long with Dell and it is now always one excuse after another. I wish you good luck with your Dell and I still have a bit too much of Dell in another acount but I think the only real news we keep hearing or learning from Dell is that Michael is selling another few million shares. Who needs this shit? The stock is making shareholders poor not making them rich.<<

Frank -

Just sell it and move on, if that's how you feel. And by all means blame Michael Dell, who hasn't done anything for you in the last six months. No large company should ever have any problems, right?

I don't live in a dreamworld where every single quarterly report is going to be perfect. I expect things to go against me sometimes. If Dell can't deal with the current problems, and the company doesn't return to its long-standing pattern of meeting or beating estimates, then I will sell.

In the meantime, looking at today's trading I see that those who were screaming last night (in all caps) that the sky was falling were overreacting.

I haven't yet seen any evidence that DELL is a poor investment, long term. The growth may be slower going forward, but it will still be healthy.

Look at it this way. Maybe looking at long term charts is not the mistake. Maybe the mistake is taking such a short term view.

- Allen

PS: These people you are so sick of, whom you accuse of living in a dream world, are the ones who are keeping your DELL from dropping farther today.
