Value stocks can balance a portfolio and cushion it in uncertain markets. I have several of these just now, including TMBS, THQI, FORTY, and TRUE. They all have actual earnings and sensible P/Es.

BTW, POWI might be included in here, relatively speaking. It has turned out to be an interesting trading stock. Sold half at 65 for better than a 50% gain, the rest at 58. It's now sitting at 42 or so (where I bought in the first time) partially due to concerns that QCOM expressed earlier in the week regarding a slowdown for the market, although it was falling earlier after the earnings report. How 50%+ rev and earnings gains can disappoint is beyond me, but apparently they did just that. I think it's at a resistance base and will rise from here. Back in yesterday for 1/2 position.
