Obviously the jury is still out, but I think that what today will very possibly do is put a VERY firm bottom on this stock, which will increase confidence in buying.
If you know that no matter what (within reason) this stock will not stay below 39 - 40, that's got to make you pretty confident buying anywhere up to 45 or so, even before good news starts showing up.

PS: Remember all those posters cynically stating that DELL might fare better if it too had warned. Well, they may very well be proven right today.

10 days is 1/9th of the quarter. I'm surprised that it takes that many days to produce a nickel off. In any event, it looks like DELL will weather this storm. The bump from Merrill certainly helps. I'm interested to see what, if anyhting, Niles has to say about this.

Regards,

LoF

kelley.."missed by ten days"

give it a rest jim....it's over, your incessant number crunching of idc data was faulty....one day, ten days, hundred days....a miss is a miss...wait until the company reports and you can then run your calculations, instead of relying on your clouded crystal ball.....

better understand the business model...which numbers crunchers are oft times far removed from....

i know you don't like to be wrong....
