Hedge funds say switch from Treasuries to continue

PHOENIX, Jan 26 (Reuters) - A dwindling supply of U.S. 30-year Treasury bonds is prompting investors to search elsewhere for an alternative liquid benchmark, hedge fund managers told a conference here Wednesday.

But any serious market disruption, particularly a sudden fall in the stock market, could quickly send this process into reverse, they said.
