FII holdings in Satyam Computer Svs (sify's parent)reaches upper limit

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said today that foreign institutional investor (FII) holdings in the software firm Satyam Computers Services Ltd had reached the maximum limit of 30%.

"No further purchases of shares of Satyam Computer Services Ltd should be made on behalf of foreign institutional investors (FIIs) as the holdings by FIIs have reached the overall ceiling of 30% of its paid up capital," the RBI said in statement.
