John, some tidbits from your article on ServerWorks:

yahoo.cnet.com

- ServerWorks (formerly RCC) revealed that the Foster bus will have 3.2 GB/sec in bandwidth, four times that of the current 100 MHz Xeon bus, which is 0.8 GB/sec. (Coppermine 133 MHz bus is 1.0 GB/sec.)

- ServerWorks will also be making a chipset for McKinley, the follow-on to Merced/Itanium (Itanium II?). This is the first time I ever heard of this. However, I already know that they won't do a Merced chipset. That's leaves Intel's 460GX as the sole chipset for 4-way Merced systems and below.

- ServerWorks claims that the McKinley bus will be 5 GB/sec. However, that's incorrect. (Sorry, no more specifics here.)
