Tokyo, Jan 28, 2000 (AsiaPulse via COMTEX) Snippets: NTT DoCoMo began testing W-CDMA cellular phone technology in Seoul, South Korea on Thursday, company President Keiji Tatekawa announced. Testing is being conducted jointly with local mobile phone company SK Telecom. SK Telecom has not decided on what technology it will use for its next generation of cell phone service, but NTT DoCoMo hopes the experiments will persuade the company to use W-CDMA.

Wishing everyone well,
