From Reverend D. Jones Church of Christ and the Market Rising.
My Brethren before I begin my sermon there are a few things I wish to address:
There is the little matter of taxes and the IRS. Some of you Brothers and Sisters are not too eager to render unto Caesar. I spoke with Brother Matthew who is a CPA and tax attorney. Most of you have funds in our church investment fund which incidentally I am proud to say is beating the S@P 500 index. Our church investment fund is not a charitable donation on your part if you don't donate the money to the church. It is not a charity simply because it is run through the church.
And you better plan on doing the rendering yourself, the church is not liable for any of your taxes. And further if you skip the rendering the church is not coughing up any funds for your legal defense.
Now I am sure most of you remember a few months ago Sister Ann approached me and asked me to ask all of you to pray for her son Jimmy who was dying of leukemia. Now we don't usually do this sort of thing, Brothers and Sisters and I don't intend for it to happen too often. But our church is a church with a heart, a big heart. And it is a heart filled with love, love of God and love for each other. So I led our entire congregation in prayer for Jimmy. And I wanted to say today that the Lord answered our prayers. Yesterday the Lord said "No." I am sure he is in a better world Sister Ann.

Foxey,
Although, I do have to admit that the thought of you warms my heart more than the first hyacinth to peek above the snow. Mere thoughts of you send my spirit flying higher than a condor on a desert thermal. My spirit flies to the heavens when you smile or the merest kind thought you might send my way.....

I have to ask....Why do ostriches find you attractive? Other than being...the fox, of course. Is it a bird thing?

PS: But I admit to wanting a lock of your hair...to put in an imperishable crystal so that I can wear it near to my heart.
