Heheh.......this is what kills me. Despite all the hype about VoIP putting telcos, PTT's and guys like me out of business, my business is growing at over 100% a year and making large profits -- as the price has plummetted 50% in two years. You see, the wholesale price has plummetted 75% so as the retail price comes down due to de-regulation, i am in an enviable situation where my carrier costs are coming down even faster and traffic is going up as per minute price unlocks new demand for long-distance telephony.

And by the way, in my 5 years of business in Europe with over 10,000 customer base, I have NEVER run into any IP based companies........the only one I can recall making any kind of attempt to sell their Internet Telephony service was IDT (through Net2Phone) which was so kludgey, complicated and unreliable that as far as I know, none of our salespeople mention of losing accounts to these so called new-fangled IP players.

Reality and real-life facts are vey important in assessing what's a hype and what isn't. Zoltan, reading headline news from Forbes and other PR releases from Cisco is not neccessarily going to give you the reality of what is or what will happen.
