I'm saying that the mention in Redherring is not related to the product demonstration at the Telecomm conference (as far as I know). The blurb from the conference is from November '99. The mention in RH is from the Feb issue. The Redherring article (called "Charge of the Light Brigade") includes a table that shows various vendors (mostly start-ups or very young companies), what type of product they specialize in (Long haul, Metro-core or Access) and when they will ship product. SilkRoad is included as a Metro-core product that will ship in 1Q '00. Since the demo at Telecomm was the latest published info on their technology I thought they might be related. Note that I have NO inside information. Strictly what I find in my searches.

Probably a dumb question for you, but does the blurb from Telecomm describe a Metro-core product?
