Explosion "within" is indeed the reason why multiethnic societies collapse with time....The major reason is that society does becomes multiethnic for obvious reasons....search for cheap labr/resources/territory....
What is the argument?
Any society multiethnic or not is doomed anyway for the inability of any generation to sacrifice their standards of life for the sake of the next....jeopardising prosperity..No prosperity no piece..jungle is no different
After all these complicated forces are in place for a reason, that can't be overruled by nice talk from Belgium...unless Prosperity was reduced in Belgium to the Congo level to make test accurate

You might note that Germany and Japan still maintain
their ethnic purity, right or wrong. You might also
note that they went from bombed flat to economic super
powers in less than 50 years. Not so for the multi-
cultural nations Yugoslavia, and the Soviet Union.

By your reasoning, this should not have happened.
