Hi! Vendit and Annette,Well that is the first question that someone asked that I have a couple of answers to. You see I live in one of those things. BTW I love it.

RULE 1: Do NOT unter any circumstances get to know your neighbors.
RULE 2: Do NOT under any circumstances go on the board.
Pay your maintenance and keep your mouth shut.

By following the above rules I love living in a condo. I lived in one before and noticed that the ones that were the happiest had nothing to do with neighbors or the building problems.

Some people have never held a position with the exception of being on a condo board. the less they know about you the better.

The city will get a lot of property taxes from a highrise building compared to a private home. Our condo has 115 units, 16 stories high and each apt pays $2600 in taxes per year. I think it goes by bedrooms.

Oh Yes, at the present our neighborhood is fighting for better traffic patterns around a project that is to be a condo. Some politician is speaking downstairs tonight on the subject. (No! No! NO! I will not attend. That is against all rules! :-)

Different states vary. Florida after 30 years finally has some pretty decent condo laws. Protecting everyone.

I can shut my door and I am out of here.

Annette! You might want to try one someday......Good Luck in your fight!

This is such a nice thread. Enjoy coming over. Thanks Vendit!
