I had posted those article because I was browsing the business wire and they were so striking. I had forgotten the company as I was on vacation this last week.

Wow, should have bought the day I posted. Took a little position today. Obviously the really killer products that these technologies can produce are just a thought today. If this company can position itself to control element of proximity advertising to cell phones and car computers, this will be amazing.

Interesting thing is the discussion of actually giving away cell phones to users who agree to receive ads.

Certainly, growth was huge again this quarter. There was an upgrade:

08:17 ET Mediaplex (MPLX) 77 1/4: Lehman Brothers, after what they called "stellar" Q4 results, raises price target from $80 to $150 to be in-line with the revs multiple of ENGA; raises FY00 topline from $44.5 to $53 mln; SG Cowen also raises PT to $115 and ups from "buy" to "strong buy".

All looks very interesting. Thanks for bringing this one back to my attention.

Maybe someone can tell us more about how MPLX will leverage their position in adXML?

Regards,

Mark

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 2, 2000--

Technology Collaboration Designed to Deliver Greater Online Interaction and Higher Click-Throughs

Mediaplex, Inc. MPLX , a leading advertising technology company, and Freestyle Interactive, a leading online advertising and digital content developer, today announced a partnership to co-market their online advertising technologies to provide clients with rich-media messaging customized to reflect both viewer profile and internal business data in real time.

The collaboration leverages Mediaplex's pioneering MOJO(TM) (mobile Java objects) ad-serving technology to coordinate front-end viewer data with back-end business data, such as inventory, pricing and customer information, and intelligently serve the most relevant content to Freestyle's Java-based rich-media platform. "Freestyle's banner technology is ideally compatible with our MOJO ad-serving system," said Ashu Goel, Vice President of Strategic Planning at Mediaplex. "It allows for extremely lightweight files that are still equipped with the latest rich-media features, such as mouse-tracking interaction, games and 3D rendering. Together, we can provide clients with online advertising that delivers outstanding design, cutting-edge functionality and up-to-the-minute accuracy. By creating rich-media ads with the most appropriate messaging at any point in time, this partnership will increase both brand awareness and click-through rate to help deliver a higher return on investment for every online dollar our mutual clients spend."
