Thanks Mucho...agree as to all of the above....(I like being the bank..)..In retrospect selling calls at the high makes much more $ense....my All Out Greed prevented me from acting wisely......................But as to buying calls...Im 100% the common shares........not margined...and keeping $ at the ready for a real bad day.......Hope Im wrong and that this is It..(ie the 'new' bottom for the Q).....Thx for the details

I have to agree with you. I have been selling covered calls for the past 6 months on a regular and consistent basis, usually selling calls as far OOTM as possible while still obtaining a decent premium for them. I have found that even selling these calls as late as 1 week before options expiration can get me taken out. I would hate to think of being locked in for a 6 month period.
