Susan,

Be careful with that short interest data. Since it is sometimes 30-60 days old you will need to look at the chart and determine how much of the recent move in the stock is a result of such short covering.

It looks like my TA take that I gave you and CarolynF seems to have worked out properly and BEAS had legs into the triple digits.

However, a word of caution may be in order now. If the Naz gets hit again tomorrow as it did today, then we can expect a 8-10% correction in the index, which will likely hit many of these stocks which have made new highs or left gaps to the upside.

The hourly chart on BEAS looks pretty positive for another spike upward tomorrow.

However, the daily chart indicates the stock is reaching overbought status and may be ready to roll over soon and consolidate, possibly to the $95 range. If the market gets really nasty, you could see the shorts pile on again hoping to pressure the longs out so that they cover at a lower price, possibly in the $82 range (which would still keep BEAS in an upward channel).

Good luck and remember that a bird in hand is worth two in the bush. This correction could possibly get rather ugly should Greenspan hit us with even more interest hikes.

Any move upward tomorrow into a negative Nasdaq market may be a prime time for a covered call strategy or shorting against your long position (minus outright selling and picking even more shares up a a cheaper price). But it seems certain that BEAS will fill the gap it left from $89/share and maybe a bit more.

Good Luck!!

Regards,

Ron
