It's not all that innocent! A couple of months ago Cramer wrote a brief but flattering piece on Jimmy Chanos. Jimmy apparently saved Cramer from investing in and losing money in Boston Chicken. Cramer has been forever grateful. Is this Cramer paying back his good friend. Herbie has frequently gotten his information from Rocker Partners, particularly on Iomega which he trashed for years. Rocker was short Iomega and apparently is short THQ. On the Iomega boards, Herbie is frequently referred to as "Greenturd". Iomega probably deserved to be trashed but not for the reasons Herbie gave. THQ may have problems (though I can't find them) but they are certainly not in questionable accounting practices. Herbie seems all too willing to broadcast the opinions of his buddies in the short community. The timing of the TSC article and the big short attack today to me looks very orchestrated.
