< The Tech bull is over.>

Perhaps. In the past, such comments have been premature in spite of severe corrections.

I'm short a few tech stocks, here, like LRCX from $135 today. I expect it to turn negative in the last hour. I'll cover as all the momentum boys unload. My longs are value plays. As a whole, they've held up well.

PS Let's see if the XAU can hold these gains tomorrow.

Japan's 136 banks were still swamped with 62.1 trillion yen
($591 billion) in bad loans as of last Sept. 30, although the total
was 2.2 trillion yen less than that logged six months earlier, the
Financial Supervisory Agency (FSA) said Thursday.
The bad loans accounted for 11.7% of the banks' 532.1 trillion
yen ($5 trillion) in outstanding loans, the FSA said.

George,
Seems to me that 50 basis points is already being factored in. By next week 50 bps will just be nuetral for the markets. Of course by then both markets could be down another 3-5%.
That said I expect multiple hikes this year. Similar to 1994.

Regards, Jim

PS. A little Chilly in Palm Beach are today ...as you know...
