I've heard there is a possible merger between the American Bank of Connecticut (AMEX: BKC) and a much larger bank. I do not currently have any substantiation of this rumor, but if it is true, the current share price of 23 1/2 would probably rise considerably as the float is only about 3.3 million shares. Please see the link below for financial information on the American Bank of Connecticut. biz.yahoo.com The American Bank of CT has a pretty good looking financial picture and, I believe, would make a very attractive takeover target given its location.
