Nope. I read that much differently, and if you check her direct quote, the reporter didn't add the required information to show that it's .5 to .75 for the whole year, not all this at the first meeting.

I've listen to her talk about this many times. It's .5 to .75 for the whole year!

The curious thing is that Fannie Mae (FNM), which Wall Street frequently uses it as an interest rate proxy, went up $1 3/4. Doesn't make sense.

I suspect the market has already factored in 50 basis point and some big boyz simply use this opportunity to shake loose the weak hands.
