Here in Northern Virginia, in heavily ethnic neighborhoods, convenience stores serve functions more commonly seen in other countries - they are already a place to go for money orders and lottery tickets, but in some you can receive long distance calls, cash checks, pay utility bills, and wire money overseas. Sending and receiving emails makes sense for customers that don't have computers or telephones, but it can't be a big dollar business.
