CPQ was trading in lock step with Dell at about a 10 1/2 to 10 3/4 price spread for most of the day. Starting at about 3:20 when CPQ hit 27 and turned up the spread and lock step was broken. The spread is now less then 10 points. Based on Dell's huge volume and Compaq's normal volume, I think the spread is going to decrease more going forward. We might see price parity in the near future. When CPQ passes Dell the battle is done. When Wall Street praises Compaq and compares Dell's dated direct market strategy to Compaq's modern duel marketing strategy the King is crowned. The party begins at $50.

Currently CPQ @ 28 1/4 ,said he, as he sipped his Crown Royal. CPQ held up quite well, all considered. I hope it wasn't in anticipation of news from Houston tomorrow that may not materialize. I'm afraid that if MC doesn't say some real positive stuff, that the stock will go south. On the other hand, seems the stock moved up better when he said nothing. Btw, where is MC, Houston or Switerland??? El
