See: here's one reason I subscribe to the Street.com, from a piece today on why the market didn't react very strongly to the Dell warning but did react to QCOM:

"I think the overall mosaic with Dell, Compaq (CPQ:NYSE - news) and Gateway (GTW:NYSE - news) is that the PC business is becoming less relevant, if not irrelevant," said Jeff Matthews, a money manager at Ram Partners. Ram Partners is short Dell.

I've got to get Ram Partners to send me a brochure <g>.

Also repeated on theStreet.com today was the HWP-CPQ merger rumor that I've seen in about 5 places in the last couple of days. Now that would be fun, wouldn't it? Immediate free association: what was the name of the old Stevie Wonder song whose first line is "Nothin' from nothin' leaves nothin'?"
